Zack Ward burst onto the scene in 1983 as mean bully Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story, and he’s continued to build an extensive screen credit list ever since. Genre fans may recognize him from Freddy Vs Jason, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, or the upcoming The Curse of Sleeping Beauty. Having spent so much time in the film industry, it’s no surprise that he’s branched out from acting into writing and directing.

His latest feature, Restoration, is the first of two collaborations with co-writer and co-producer James Cullen Bressack.  While Bressack handles directorial duties of the second collaboration, Bethany, Ward helms the wheel for this spartan home haunting as well as stars in a supporting role.

Uncork’d Entertainment will release Restoration on VOD this Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016.  A DVD release will follow on July 5th, 2016.  We have the trailer below, to tide you over.

While renovating their house a couple finds a diary hidden in the walls, lost for 30 years. Opening the book releases the ghost of a child that haunts their dreams and waking life, driving them to find the cause of her death and release her soul.
