SL: If you had to isolate a single scene from 2018 to act as a short film, which would you select and why?

AD: Maybe something using the doll house scenes in HEREDITARY.

SL: What film from this year do you feel “could work” if it were turned into a silent film?

AD: My first thought is A Quiet Place, but the more I think about it, the sound design of the creatures was a huge part of it. So, um, maybe Hereditary, which was full of quiet dread.

SL: Select 2 films from this year you think would be interesting to see mashed together?

AD: Ghost Stories & Suspiria — an anthology about witches. WITCH STORIES starring Toni Collette (on a side note, she deserves an Oscar for her work in HEREDITARY).

SL: Complete the sentence: “2018 was a year of…”

AD: Genre

SL: What is one movie from 2018 that you would want to see as a Rob Zombie remake?

AD:I have never seen a Rob Zombie film, but Lords of Salem is my list.

SL: What Eli Roth film would you choose to be remade with Tilda Swinton playing 3 roles. Please list the roles, I am not sorry and death is not an option.

AD: Unfortunately, I’ve never watched any of the films he’s directed.

SL: Were there any genre books or TV series that you would include?

AD: I binged The Haunting of Hill House, Castle Rock, and Channel Zero: Candle Cove. Those were fun. I also really enjoyed reading “House of Psychotic Women” by Kier-La Janisse

SL: What is one type of fear you’ve heard of and would like to see a movie about?

AD: Given mobile phones have pretty much destroyed plot, perhaps Nomophobia – the fear of being without coverage. 😉

SL: Select a children’s game you’d like to see be made into a sopping, gore heavy, Battle Royale-esque geyser of mutilation.

AD: Well, you know, gore’s not my thing, but maybe Candyland?

SL: Using your initials, create a cheesy slasher moniker and a title for the film they star in.

AD: The Anno Domini Carver. HE IS RISEN.
