If there is one thing that movies and video games can agree on, it’s that space is a dangerous place. Whether you’re a space trucker or in the case of TARTARUS, a mining and research vessel, safety is not guaranteed.

Using first-person mechanics, TARTARUS is set in a dark sci-fi universe. Sure, it’s easy to draw comparisons to ‘Alien: Isolation’ and the ‘Dead Space’ series, but don’t you want more of that?! I certainly do. Abyss Gameworks promises TARTARUS will be filled with puzzles, action elements, and simplistic gameplay. They are quick to point out that “simplistic” doesn’t mean the game will be a cake walk. Expect TARTARUS sometime this summer and make sure to keep track of the game on the Steam Store.

The only chance for crew to survive is to reach the Bridge and restart all systems one by one before the ship crashes into Neptune. We are playing as Cooper (miner of the ship) who has no education or training about electronics or pilotage; to overcome this, vessels engineer – Andrews- is helping us as much as he can. Though it’s not as easy as it sounds…
