20th Century Fox just released a cast photo of the ill-fated crew set to cross paths with a new crop of xenomorphs this May.  The photo is more of a tease for a teaser, as a new sneak peak is set to air tomorrow night during the latest episode of Legion on FX. Really, though, I’m more excited about this cast photo.  Why?

Well, the sheer size of that crew means that there’s a whole lot of cannon fodder among them. Which means a lot of potential gory deaths by way of vicious xenomorphs.  The trailer, below, already indicated that crew members would meet violent ends, but it wasn’t clear just how many possible victims there were. Until now.  The cast photo also gives us the first real glimpse of James Franco as Captain Branson.  These smiling faces won’t be smiling for long, will they?

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.

Alien: Covenant will arrive in theaters on May 19, 2017.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
