As a longtime hater of the Zombie subgenre, even I am surprised at just how fascinated I am in HERE ALONE. In a day and age where the phrase “post-apocalyptic” sends nauseating chills down my spine, it’s hard for me to get pumped about anything involving the Z-word. Nevertheless, millions of moviegoers still eat this stuff up like the crazed shit-eating wild men that they are–so who am I to judge? So what separates HERE  ALONE from the pack? For starters, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

There’s something inherently special about the juxtaposition of such a dreadful scenario being paired with such jaw-droppingly beautiful cinematography. Perhaps more importantly, it looks like the zombies might be taking a back seat on this one; leaving us to explore a far more deadly foe: human nature.

Check out the debut trailer and images below for HERE ALONE, and let us know what you think. Vertical Entertainment has acquired the film for an early 2017 theatrical release. We’ll keep you posted on additional details as the come our way.
