For a movie that was as fun and engaging as ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE, the fact the film lacked a distributor after making waves at Fantastic Fest—we even reviewed the film and gave an 8.0—was disheartening. Now, finally, after months in distributor purgatory we may finally see ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE.

Orion Pictures is distributing ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE in North and Latin America. With the movie revolving around the undead making an unwelcome visit at Christmas, hopefully, this means we will see a release, at the latest, this holiday season.

ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE is a high school zombie musical where Anna, played by Ella Hunt (ROBOT OVERLORDS, COLD FEET) and her friends have to fight their way through a zombie invasion while breaking out in song and dance.

John McPhail (WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?) directs a script written by Alan McDonald and Ryan McHenry. If you weren’t lucky enough to see ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE at Fantastic Fest, check out the trailer below.

A girl and her friends must fight – and sing – their way through a zombie invasion to reach the supposed safety of their school, not knowing if their parents and friends will still be alive when they get there.
