Artsploitation Films is one of my favorite distributors in the industry. They have an excellent eye for quality indie cinema, and they aren’t afraid to put their name on something “edgy”. I appreciate that. While Artsploitation is typically known for foreign distribution, we got word today that they have acquired two very promising English-Language titles from that 2015 festival circuit. Both Observance and Blue Family have garnered mostly positive feedback, and Artsploitation hopes to add them to your DVD/Blu-Ray collection early 2016.

We don’t know how “early”, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on both films as more information comes our way. Until then, check out the current trailers for both Observance and Blue Family.

In the grip of grief following the death of his young son, his marriage on the rocks and nearing bankruptcy, Parker reluctantly returns to work as a private investigator. Embarking on an unusual assignment to observe a woman from an abandoned apartment, Parker witnesses bizarre happenings surrounding her, unaware that the derelict building that he surveys her from has birthed a dark presence which slowly threatens to consume him.

lue Family is the story, inspired by actual events, of three women kidnapped and held captive in a basement for years, fighting for freedom with immense hope and faith even when it seemed impossible.
