Did you snag the free surprise demo for Outlast 2 during the month of October?  Those that did found themselves playing through a short, but terrifying experience.  So terrifying, that many reported over social media that the demo alone caused them to shit themselves. Of course, even the first Outlast had gamers crapping their pants in fear. If you were one of them, Canadian based developer Red Barrels feels your anguish.  Since they can’t reasonably be there for everyone to hold our hands as we play through their games, they’ve come up with the best possible solution.

They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign that introduces Underscares: a wearable, washable diaper to get you through those roughest moments of terror in Outlast and Outlast 2. There are various rewards being offered, but might I suggest pledge level $55 or $75?  That way you get an Outlast 2 steam key and an Underscare. Head over to their page to see just how much love and care went into the design of the games’ companion diaper. You shat. They listened.

Red Barrels developer team already sold me on the strength of their games, but their sense of humor is now compelling adults to do the unthinkable: play horror games while sporting stylish diapers.

The sequel to the acclaimed survival horror game original, Outlast II is a twisted new journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets.

No conflict is ever black and white. But once the dust has settled, the victors get to decide who was right and who was wrong. Who is good and who is evil. Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. Outlast II will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.
