Some keys unlock doors which should never be opened.

The delightfully creepy trailer for the next chapter in the INSIDIOUS story just dropped and Modern Horrors is happy to share the nightmare of INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY. This time, the terror hits home for renowned parapsychologist, Dr. Elise Rainer, played again by the superb character actress Lin Shaye. From the trailer it seems the house that’s being haunted is hers.

Director Adam Robitel who gave us The Taking of Deborah Logan is helming the scares. The film’s Screenwriter is Leigh Whannell, the same Aussie who penned Saw, Dead Silence and every Insidious chapter before this one. Producers include INSIDIOUS regulars Jason Blum (The Purge, Get Out), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and of course, co-creator James Wan (The Conjuring)

The insidious Further is closed until next year, but the scares will greet us on January 5th, 2018 when the film opens. Never fear, we’ll keep you updated until then. For now, you can join the good Doctor as she attempts to face her fears in the new trailer below.
