I’ll just say it–I’ve never seen a witch movie that I enjoyed from start to finish. Sure, some have had their moments over the years, but they all ended up falling flat for me personally. Even ones that garnered rave reviews from others left me wanting more… way more. Hopefully, that’s where Epic Pictures Group’s MARK OF THE WITCH comes into play.

Previously titled Another, MARK OF THE WITCH marks writer/director Jason Bognacki‘s debut and follows a young orphan that discovers her occult lineage and the curse she is destined to fulfill. We’ve seen similar things before, but it’s the execution that truly matters in a film like this. Will it deliver? Will it break my decade-long losing streak of unfulfilling witch movies? Hard to say, but we don’t have much longer to go until we find out.

MARK OF THE WITCH is set to hit VOD platforms on 6/6/16 (see what they did there?). We’ll have a full review for you fine folks in the near future. Until then, check out the official plot synopsis, trailer, and poster below.

On her 18th birthday, she will belong to the devil. Compelled by the idea she has an evil twin, a beautiful young woman is driven into a dark underworld of demonic possession, desire, and extreme indulgences when she learns she may be the devil’s daughter.
