Your Green Beer just got bloody.

Well, Saint Patrick’s Day is over. But never fear, the good people at SyFy just announced that a certain little green devil is about to make a comeback.

Appropriately announced on St. Patrick’s Day with a tight little teaser, LEPRECHAUN RETURNS will be a new feature from SyFy. It seems the network has a nice thing going reviving 80s/90s brand Horror like they did with LAKE PLACID, PUMPKINHEAD and ANACONDA.

Starring a young Jennifer Aniston, the original LEPRECHAUN was a fun romp that brought some blood and guts to a holiday waiting for its moment in the genre spotlight. It starred Warwick Davis (RETURN OF THE JEDI, WILLOW) as the gold-hungry devil in question.

If one is counting, this sequel makes it the 8th film in the franchise. The rays of hope this time is that Suzanne Keilly (ASH VS EVIL DEAD) is writing and the man behind the camera will be none other than Steven Kostanski, who directed the stylish, Lovecraft-inspired THE VOID.

The shamrock scares of LEPRECHAUN RETURNS are scheduled for March 2019. Enjoy the teaser now.

Synopsis
Picking up 25 years after the events of the 1993 original, Leprechaun Returns finds the leprechaun revived in the modern day when a group of sorority girls unwittingly awaken him while tearing down a cabin to build a new sorority house.
