South Korean horror is knocking it out of the park. TRAIN TO BUSAN, I SAW THE DEVIL, THE HOST, and THE WAILING are just a few examples of some stellar genre entries in the last several years. It looks like GONJIAM: HAUNTED ASYLUM could soon join that list.

The movie centers around an online show that recruits a handful of people to experience the horror of the Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital. While the hosts do play tricks on the unsuspecting guests, who are streaming their experiences to the internet, things begin to spiral out of control.

GONJIAM: HAUNTED ASYLUM looks to be a found-footage movie that channels the tense atmospheric mood of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. The trailer shows little other than a series of creepy images in an equally creepy asylum.

The crew of a horror web series travels to an abandoned asylum for a live broadcast. It soon encounters much more than expected as it moves deeper inside the nightmarish old building.
