After the breakout success of GOODNIGHT MOMMY late last year, this shouldn’t be much of a surprise–but the directing duo of Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz will be working alongside powerhouse producer Michael De Luca (American History X, 50 Shades of Grey, Captain Phillips, The Social Network, etc) and Universal Pictures for their follow up film titled THE FORTRESS. We don’t know a lot more than that, but that’s a lot of power and talent on one production set that could lead to something quite special if all goes well.

It’s worth noting that De Luca reportedly has a “first look” deal with the studio regarding any new pictures that are getting off the ground. It would stand to reason that he liked what he saw/read quite a bit in order to get involved at this stage in the game. We’ll keep you posted on additional details as they become available–but until then, get excited!
