A young girl witnesses the murder of her family by a mysterious killer. Now she must try to survive before the killer finds her.

I was searching for some short horrors to watch and review recently, and I stumbled across this seemingly less known but gem of a short film, Luna. Written and directed by Antonio Perez, and presented by The Mexico House, Luna could quite possibly be one of the best horror shorts I’ve ever seen. The entire production has the look of a high budget, very well written, and fantastically edited movie with near perfect cinematic presence.

At roughly 12 minutes long, the story is brilliant and presented with awesome lighting, color grading, beautiful shots, and creepy but fitting sound effects and score. Luna is presented in a way that kept my interest with a complete lack of predictability.

The only thing that I found disappointing was the fact that I can’t find any later projects or currently in production projects by Antonio Perez. That’s surprising considering the quality and level of enjoyment of this film.

If you’ve got 12 minutes, I would absolutely recommend giving this a watch. You won’t regret it.
