We first dropped the trailer for the upcoming spookfest, THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, about a week ago. But since that time, I’ve come to understand that Disappointment Rooms were actually a thing of the past. They were rooms that families had created to hide kids with disabilities (Down Syndrome, deformities, illnesses, etc.). There was even a HGTV episode a while back about a couple who bought a home in Rhode Island that was built by a prominent judge many years prior. As they explored the house, they discovered an awkward room in the attic that just didn’t make sense. They began to research the home and eventually headed to the local library where an elderly lady approached and said: “You have a disappointment room in your attic.” Fucked up, right?

You can actually check out the episode at: https://wdrv.it/6105e80a2 , but that’s not what we’re here for. We’re here to take a look at a brand new clip for a movie that tackles that very same scenario–THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM. Check it out below:

THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM hits theaters on September 9th.
