Few things are more beautiful than destruction” teases Golden Globe award-winning actress, Frances Conroy in the latest trailer for The Mist. Well, if this gory sneak peek is any indication, the Spike channel isn’t kidding around. Compared to the first trailer that dropped in April, this new taste of what’s to come is blood-flavored. Not only do we get more glimpses of creatures, unnatural insects and gouged-out eye sockets, The Mist teases that most common of Stephen King horrors: Humanity itself. If you’re familiar with even just a few of King’s stories, then you know the Lovecraftian mist which rolls into this unsuspecting town isn’t the only thing that can’t be trusted. Beware your neighbors, your friends, your religion, even your own family because Ms. Conroy’s words mean business.

The Mist rolls in at 10pm ET/PT, Thursday, June 22nd on Spike and is created by award-winning Danish writer, Christian Torpe and stars Morgan Spector, Frances Conroy, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Luke Cosgrove, Danica Curcic, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., and Russell Posner.

Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
