With just under a month until release, Paramount has dropped a new trailer for the newest chapter of Samara’s curse. Which means that I think we’re in the clear; we can rest easy that the release date won’t get shifted again. The trailer is kept short and simple, focusing on the curse’s origin and the strange body horror side effects of the curse. In other words, a much better trailer than the previous one. There’s also a new poster, in case the curse’s rules weren’t exactly clear. Check out both, below.

Directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, the film stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio.

Rings will be released in theaters on February 3, 2017.

A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before.
