Director Jon Watts, along with Producer Eli Roth, are bringing horror fans not your typical psychotic clown story in the aptly titled film, CLOWN [Review]. What I find so unique about this film is the lore behind it, which gives it a distinctive edge above the rest of the sub-genre. After years of tentative release dates and trailers, it looks like fans in the U.S. are finally getting their eyes on the hotly anticipated flick.

The trailer teases a transformation from man to demon, and it looks exceptionally well put together with great practical effects and a decent backstory. And with Eli Roth involved, I would think it’s safe to say tons of blood and gore will be present for you weirdos to get your rocks off. CLOWN is set to hit select theaters and VOD on June 17th. We mean it this time.

Plot Synopsis
A story of a loving father, who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son’s birthday, only to discover that the costume, red nose and wig included, will not come off . He begins to transform, personality included, into a Demonic Clown.
