If you suffer from coulrophobia, it looks as though 2017 is going to be a very rough year.  Not only will the highly anticipated remake of Stephen King’s It make its theatrical debut next September, but now we can add Circus Kane to the 2017 evil clown list. In fact, the above image is of a character aptly named Evil Clown, played by actor Bill Voorhees.

Directed by Christopher Douglas-Olen Ray from a script by James Cullen Bressack and Zack Ward, based on a story by Sean Sellars, the film stars Jonathan Lipnicki of Jerry Maguire fame.

There’s no set release date just yet, but per THR, Uncork’d Entertainment has just secured worldwide distribution of the film, so you can bet a release date announcement is just around the corner.

A reclusive circus master invites a group of social media stars to his house of haunts. Anyone who can make it out before being scared into submission will earn $250,000 – but the stars soon learn they are not only competing for money, but also fighting for their lives.
