It seems like we were just talking about this on The Modern Horrors podcast a few weeks ago, but now IT’S OFFICIAL! The much beloved PUPPET MASTER franchise is next up for the reboot treatment. And no, this will not be another typical Full Moon production. Earlier today during a conversation with Fangoria at Texas Frightmare Weekend, it was announced that S. Craig Zahler, the writer/director of 2015 favorite BONE TOMAHAWK, will be penning the script. No director has been named.

Better yet? This is only the beginning. Producers plan on creating an entirely new and fresh universe for the violent little bastards with the first film being titled: PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH. Yeah, that’s a bit odd, but rest assured that we’ll keep you guys and gals up to date with the latest information as news comes our way. Until then, check out the full rundown and debut poster for PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH courtesy of Fangoria:

A recently divorced young man who discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet plans to sell the toy at a convention in Oregon celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose at the Postville Lodge during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.
