Although Paco Plaza had been writing and directing since the mid-1990s, most Horror fans cite his 2007 feature [REC] as the first time they viewed this Spanish Director’s work.

Well, as of yesterday genre fans can enjoy his latest addition to the genre since Netflix has quietly dropped VERONICA, a stylish supernatural thriller sure to intrigue the modern Horror fan. Already a festival hit in 2017, it’s nice to see the film reach Netflix and a wider audience.

Inspired by real events that happened in 1991 Madrid, the story concerns a Ouija board and a daughter’s descent into madness following her attempt to communicate with her dead father. Starring a strong cast of Spanish actors, the film stars Sandra Escancena, Clauida Placer and Bruno Gonzalez.

Before you hit Netflix, why not unfold your own Ouija board and communicate with the new trailer now.
