Some of us older folks will remember Sabrina the Teenage Witch from her days on Nickelodeon.  It was a wholesome family show about average teenage girl problems, oh and she happens to come from a line of witches.  Well film maker Ricardo Uhagon Vivas decided that the direction of the comic “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” deserved its own screen-time.  The end result will make you wish that we were getting a full season of this incarnation of Sabrina.

The book puts a dark spin on the classic series “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” setting it in the 1960s. The film is a prequel to the comic set during Sabrina’s early days, in the late 1950’s, growing up in an eerie house full of secrets, magic, and surprises. It was produced with Arturo Díaz and Sangre Films, and shot in Spain over the summer of 2014.

We’ve all seen full length productions that were well funded that don’t look half this good. Cinematography is top-notch, as are the effects (minus the bird at the end).  For a fan made product, it doesn’t get much better.
