If you’ve been wondering what Alexandre Aja and Sam Raimi are up to, may I introduce you to CRAWL? It’s a movie about a young woman trapped in a flooding house during a Category 5 hurricane. But she has to fight off more than the elements. She also has to fight for her life against alligators. CRAWL, written on spec Michael and Shan Rasmussen, will have Aja directing the script he rewrote with Raimi producing.

Both of those names should pique your interest. Raimi is known for THE EVIL DEAD, SPIDER-MAN. Aja is a crossover film director, breaking into the business with his New French Extremity film HIGH TENSION. He followed that up with a 2006 remake of Wes Craven’s THE HILLS HAVE EYES – underrated – HORNS, MANIAC, and PRIAHNA 3D.

If that’s not enough to pique your interest, then what kind of monster are you? There’s no release date CRAWL movie, but we should see it sometime next year.
