It’s no secret that we at Modern Horrors are huge fans of Shudder’s 24/7 horror streaming service. Personally, I love almost everything about it. It’s super inexpensive (14 Day free trial, $4.99 a month afterwards), it has a wonderful library of quality films, and it’s run by a great team of people. Unfortunately, the service has had one massive hole in its game since the platform entered beta – there was no Chromecast support.

That may not seem like a big deal at first, but not many people have computers hooked up to their main TV setup, and even if you do, it’s not a great experience. Shudder has had quality apps on mobile, but who wants to watch your favorite horrors on a 4-7″ screen? Not this guy. Shudder desperately needed a way to get content from our mobile devices to our TV screens, and now they have. As of this week, Shudder officially supports the Google Chromecast – and it’s wonderful.

If you haven’t subscribed to Shudder yet, get on it. These guys have huge plans, and the price point is simply too good to pass up. In fact, if you sign up for a new account – we’ll send out a Shudder Prize Pack to the first 3 people that send us a screenshot of their confirmation. Just tag us with the image on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. It’s important to support quality work – so let’s do it.

Also – stay tuned for our SECOND Shudder Movie Club that we plan to host next week 10/29 to celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday.
