You may recall Jacob Hopkins and I singing the praises of Cannibals and Carpet Fitters on episode 135 of The Modern Horrors Podcast, but in case you didn’t catch it, I’m here to tell you not to sleep on this one. James Bushe and Richard Lee O’Donnell have crafted a modern horror offering that deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Shaun of the Dead and Tucker and Dale vs Evil. No, seriously.

What Cannibals and Carpet Fitters may lack in budget, it more than makes up for in terms of heart, comedy, and pure entertainment. From glorious practical effects to witty and hilarious one-liners, this one embodies the spirit of independent horror in ways that few others do.

It deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Shaun of the Dead and Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Check out the debut trailer below, and feel confident in renting/buying this one digitally on December 11th. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Plot Synopsis:

A group of carpet fitters are sent on a job to an old Country house in the middle of nowhere. However they soon discover it’s a trap set up by the savage, cannibalistic family, The Hannings. The carpet fitters are forced to fight for their lives or risk ending up being the evenings dinner. Unfortunately they are not quite your typical heroes!
