After Dark Films hit a home run with this one...

Don’t get me wrong, there have been some promising looking films added to this year’s 8 Films to Die For lineup, but having seen Suspension already, I can’t help but think it stands in a league of its own here.

Suspension brings a creative spark to the slasher genre that is often missing, and I’m very happy to see it get a widespread release with the rest of the 8 Films to Die for on October 16th. Until then, Have a look at the official synopsis, poster, and trailer for the film below:

Emily is a high-school student with a penchant for drawing gruesome pictures in her sketchbook. There’s a reason for her obsession with horrific images: Her father Tom once went on a murder spree and is now residing in a mental hospital. On a night she’s home alone babysitting her mute little brother, Tom escapes and targets Emily and her friends during a bloody killing rampage.
