If we were to construct the Mount Rushmore of Horror (and we totally should), you would undoubtedly find the faces of Wes Craven, John Carpenter, and Tobe Hooper. All three of these men have contributed entries to the genre that will live on for eternity, and it just so happens that one of those men has a brand new film getting ready for release this Fall.

Tobe Hooper’s ‘Djinn‘ has been spoken of in whispered tones for over two years now. Due to various legal and financial issues, those “in the know” were beginning to wonder if the film would ever see the light of day. Well, good news, Screen Media Films will be releasing Djinn on DVD this November for all to enjoy. If by some chance this one has flown beneath your radar; check out the official plot synopsis and trailer below. Spoiler: It sounds awesome.

Plot Synopsis
Desperate to put the traumatic loss of their infant child behind them, an Emirati couple return home – but home doesn’t provide the comfort they seek. Soon they are tormented by unexplainable events and begin to question if their neighbors are human, or the sinister, shape-shifting demons – the Djinn.
