Tourists in real life are funny. They wander around, often lost, snapping pictures of everything while getting scammed on cheap crap. But Tourists in Horror movies? Now, they’re fun.

The good times are evident in the new trailer for Screen Media Films chiller TEMPLE. Directed by hard-working Cinematographer-turned-Director, Michael Barrett, the film will be uncovered September 1st. Starring will be Logan Huffman (Final Girl), Natalia Warner and Brandon Sklenar. The Screenwriter for TEMPLE is Simon Barrett. Now, I don’t know Simon, but wherever he is I hope someone is keeping him fueled with caffeine because the man has already given Horror-lovers The Guest, You’re Next, Blair Witch and V/H/S.

From the trailer TEMPLE seems to showcase just what can happen when you stray from the travel guide and go looking for ancient shrines, especially ones that can “make you sick“. Modern Horrors has you covered with the trailer and slick-looking poster below, so feel free to grab a map, some sunscreen and dive right into the TEMPLE.

You go first.

Three American tourists follow a mysterious map deep into the jungles of Japan searching for an ancient temple. When spirits entrap them, their adventure quickly becomes a horrific nightmare.
