According to the new trailer from Dark Sky Films’ upcoming It Stains the Sand Red, what happens in Vegas, doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas. It can shamble after you for days, stalking you with a relentless hunger for your sun-scorched flesh. From the trailer, it seems Writer/Director, Colin Minihan and partner, Stuart Ortiz have produced a spin on the Zombie thriller. Rather than having hordes of the undead racing or shambling after your lead actress, why not just have one? Because after all, one is all it takes when a misstep or inattentive minute lands you on the menu.

Vicious Brothers, Minihan and Ortiz already gave Horror fans such cult-gems as Grave Encounters, Grave Encounters 2 and Extraterrestrial, so color us zombie-green with anticipation for their new indie shocker.

IT STAINS THE SAND RED stars Brittany Allen (All My Children) and Juan Riedinger (Narcos). It will have its US premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival this June and will bite into theaters and digital platforms later this summer. Place your bets: Girl or Zombie? Synopsis
In the throes of a zombie apocalypse, Molly, a troubled woman from Las Vegas, finds herself stranded in the desert with a lone ravenous zombie on her trail. At first, she’s easily able to outpace her undead pursuer, but things quickly become a nightmare when she realizes the zombie doesn’t need to ever stop and rest. Running low on supplies and beat down by the harsh environment, Molly will have to summon the strength she never knew she had to ultimately face both the zombie and the demons that have chased her all her life.
