Written by Peter S. Hall and directed by Paul Gandersman, this love letter to ’90s teen horror premiered at Fantastic Fest. Drawing clear inspirations from the likes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Christopher Pike, and R.L. Stine, the short harnessed everything that we loved about young adult horror.  And now you can watch it too.

Givertaker is actually a proof-of-concept introduction Arcanum Pictures’ Dead Kids Club and its interwoven stories of teenagers, transgressions and a town filled with all manner of different supernatural elements.  A very successful intro to what may be a very cool anthology series in the works.  Check out the short, and its retro poster below.

Plot Synopsis
Starring Nell Kessler, Caiti Ward (Rooster Teeth’s “RWBY”), Jessica Perrin (Found Footage 3D), Sharmita Bhattacharya (iGirlfriend) and John James Pepper, Givertaker is the fun genre story of Sarah, an angry teen who conducts an ancient ritual to seek revenge on the classmates she believes have wronged her.
