Movie trailers are designed to sell you a movie. They’re supposed to give you a small taste of what’s expected without giving you everything. But today’s audiences are smart, able to pick up on story lines from just a few quick scenes. When a trailer tells too much, it could spoil the whole movie, which is what appears to have happened with the WILDLING trailer.

I’m not going to spill the beans, but if you watch the trailer below, you can piece together what’s going on from beginning to end, which is no mistake of the filmmakers. It appears a young girl escapes a captive father and a traumatic childhood. Once free and trying to live a normal life, she begins to discover things about her past.

WILDLING is directed by Fritz Böhm. The script is written by Böhm and Florian Eder. The movie starsLiv Tyler (THE STRANGERS), Bel Powley (THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL) and Brad Dourif (CHILD’S PLAY, SEED OF CHUCKY).

A blossoming teenager uncovers the dark secret behind her traumatic childhood.
