The 4-on-1 multiplayer horror experience is something that’s been teased to us time and time again over the last year or so. It’s obviously something that gamers and horror fans alike are extremely interested in–that much became evident as soon as Friday the 13th: The Game bagged itself over 800k in its crowdfunding effort. But as promising as everything may sound, we haven’t really seen anything substantial coming out of any of these projects. After all, seeing is believing–right?

That’s why it was so nice to see 20 minutes of gameplay footage drop for DEAD BY DAYLIGHT; a brand new horror game set for release on June 14th courtesy of Starbreeze Studios. Keep in mind that everything you’re about to see is taken from an early beta stage and features some hiccups and animations that we expect to be smoothed out prior to release. Game Synopsis
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in which one crazed killer hunts four friends through a terrifying nightmare. Players take on the role of both killer and survivors in a deadly game of cat and mouse. It’s a Mature Gamer take on the thrills of Hide & Seek!

The game features procedurally generated levels, so players never experience a repetitive map. Be the killer and massacre all your victims before they escape, by using your speed and power in 1st person, or team up with your friends to try and outwit the killer with your superior awareness and agility in a 3rd person’s view as he hunts you through a nightmare world.
