The Naughty List just got frightening.

We won’t have to wait too long to dive into what looks like a mysterious and creepy new series from AMC. June will bring us the long-awaited adaptation of NOS4A2, the terrifying 2013 novel by Joe Hill. We shared news about the series’ development back in April 2018 and were happy to hear the first episode debuted at last weekend’s WonderCon.

June will bring us the long-awaited adaptation of NOS4A2

The tale stars Australian newcomer Ashleigh Cummings as Vic McQueen, a woman trying to save her son from the eerie Charles Manx, played by a mischievously evil Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, American Horror Story). Manx is a vicious child predator and supernatural killer who has set his sights on Vic’s son ever since she entered the sinister otherworld known as Christmasland. The story careens through different time periods, delving into important events and the many influences on the character’s lives, a writing style favored by Hill and his well-known father, Stephen King. It will be interesting to see how the series develops the inevitable showdown between these two characters–one an independent and hardened young woman, the other a vampire-like being intent on its secrets staying secret.

From the trailer, it appears AMC could have another genre hit on their hands, even potentially capturing fans who’ve abandoned the flailing series The Walking Dead (myself included).

NOS4A2 will be a 10-part series starting June 2nd. Roll up the driveway of darkness and enjoy its new trailer now.
