Director David F. Sandberg has had one eventful summer so far. Not only was his debut feature, Lights Out, a box office success, but he just wrapped up filming on the sequel to 2014’s Annabelle. As the film enters post production, a new announcement teaser was released today.

Sandberg has already demonstrated a mastery of building scares and tension, and the new teaser only furthers this as it centers on one of the most unsettling tea parties ever.  If you weren’t such a fan of the first film, perhaps this teaser will change your mind.

The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.

Annabelle 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 19, 2017.

Plot Synopsis
In “Annabelle 2,” several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
