An interesting film called Applesauce made its debut last month at the Tribecca Film Festival.  Not much is know about the film at this point but Dylan Baker (Trick ‘R Treat) is all over the marketing – so that piques my interest automatically. The film is written, directed and stars Onur Tukel who has been making waves for his acclaimed dark comedy, Summer of Blood. That film was about a poor schlub who’s life is meaningless and boring until he encounters the supernatural.

Applesauce appears to be similar in ways but again, very little is known at this point. We’ve got a clip from the film and a still but that’s about it. The main reason I am confident the film will turn into something is that it is being distributed by Dark Sky Films which I trust implicitly so stay tuned for more as soon as we get it!

After he confesses the worst thing he’s ever done to a radio talk show host, Ron Welz’s past starts catching up to him and someone starts sending him body parts. Who is tormenting him? There are eight million people in New York City, and everyone’s a suspect.
