We talk about the fine folks over at Black Fawn Films fairly often. Considering the sheer amount of projects that the team cranks out, it’s hard not to. But just when I think they might be taking a moment to catch their breath, I’m greeted with some brand new promotional material for yet another genre product from the minds that brought us Bite, The Drownsman, Antisocial, The Sublet, and the upcoming film, Bed of the Dead. It’s called LET HER OUT, and it’s looking pretty damn good.

Filmed and set in Toronto, LET HER OUT follows Helen, a bike courier who suffers a traumatic accident. As she recovers, she begins to experience strange episodic-black outs, hallucinations, and night terrors-that lead her to discover that she has a tumor, a benign growth that is the remnants of a “vanishing twin” absorbed in utero. It’s being directed by Cody Calahan and marks his first departure from the Antisocial brand, moving in a different (and far more terrifying) direction. I’ve personally been a huge fan of Cody’s work in the Antisocial films, and I can’t wait to see what he and the team have up their sleeves with this one.

No release window to share with you guys just yet, but we do have your first look at the debut poster and a few still images for you to put your eyes on. Check them out below:

Let Her Out follows Helen, a bike courier who suffers a traumatic accident. As she recovers, she begins to experience strange episodic-black outs, hallucinations, and night terrors-that lead her to discover that she has a tumor, a benign growth that is the remnants of a “vanishing twin” absorbed in utero. Over time, the tumor manifests itself as the dark and demented version of a stranger. As Helen’s emotional and psychological state begins to deteriorate further and further, she begins to act out in psychotic episodes -influenced by her evil twin- making her a danger to herself and her best friend, Molly. It’s only a matter of time before the evil side of Helen will take over completely.
