The casting news continues.

It’s not every day that such mainstream attention is given to a film in our genre. Part of me can’t help but feel like someone has given away the password to our secret club, but then I remember that it couldn’t be happening to a better person. While Jordan Peele is known for his comedic antics on Key & Peele, he is also a total horror buff. That’s something I didn’t know until somewhat recently. As you may or may not know, Peele has joined forces with the horror genre juggernaut known as Blumhouse to produce his directorial debut titled GET OUT.

Jones 2

Caleb Landry Jones in ANTIVIRAL (2012)

The film is expected to explore a conversation about race within its horror backdrop, and that’s something we don’t see terribly often. But make no mistake about it – this does not appear to be a horror/comedy. At least, not strictly. Peele appears to be all business. Nowhere is that more apparent than his recent casting choices. The team has secured names like Allison Williams, Daniel Kaluuya, and Catherine Keener. Now – according to The Hollywood Reporter – Caleb Landry Jones is officially on board as well. Horror vets will probably recognize Jones from 2012’s Antiviral. We’ll keep you updated on additional details involving GET OUT as they come our way. So stay tuned, weirdos.
