Deadline reports that Catherine Keener(Being John Malkovich, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) has joined the cast of Jordan Peele’s Get Out.  Keener joins Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams in what is shaping up to be a pretty epic cast.  Very little has been released about this film yet, but with every addition I get more excited.  Jordan Peele is collecting some real talent to star in his directorial debut and I have a feeling that Get Out is going to take the horror world, and the film world in general, by storm.  We will be keeping you posted on all the latest news!

Two-time Oscar nominee Catherine Keener has landed a key role in Get Out, Key & Peele alum Jordan Peele’s fresh take on the horror-thriller genre that he wrote and will direct. Plot details are under wraps, but the pic centers on a young African-American man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate. Allison Williams and Daniel Kaluuya are also starring in the film, which QC Entertainment and Blumhouse Productions are producing. Keener’s character wasn’t revealed.
“People know me for my work in comedy,” Peele says, “but now I’ll get to focus on my passion for writing and directing horror films. Like comedy, horror has an ability to provoke thought and further the conversation on real social issues in a very powerful way. GET OUT takes on the task of exploring race in America, something that hasn’t really been done within the genre since NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 47 years ago. It’s long overdue.”
