This Halloween we are getting another version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.  Entitled Victor Frankenstein, this time we have James McAvoy (The New Professor X) as the man himself and world famous wizard Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor.  The new take this time is that the film is told from Igor’s perspective with Victor being a more sinister character.

The film is based on a script written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and is directed by Paul McGuigan (Episodes of Sherlock and Push starring Chris Evans).  He has also brought a couple Sherlock alums with him in the form of Andrew Scott (Moriarty in Sherlock) and Mark Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock).  The film will be dropping October 2, 2015.  We have stills and the official synopsis for you below.

Told from Igor’s perspective, we see the troubled young assistant’s dark origins, his redemptive friendship with the young medical student Viktor Von Frankenstein, and become eyewitnesses to the emergence of how Frankenstein became the man – and the legend – we know today.
