Zombies, Zombies, everywhere.

At first glance it doesn’t seem to break any new ground, but at least the new trailer for Saban Films, DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE previews a gory battleground romp. We teased this one before here, but now we’re sharing the new trailer.

The ZomFather, George Romero released his original DAY OF THE DEAD back in 1985. Since then, there have been a few re-imaginings, including a forgettable one in 2008 starring Ving Rhames. It’s a crowded field when it comes to Zombie pictures, so let’s hope this new entry shows more spirit, where others just shamble.

DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE stars Johnathon Schaech (REC, PROM NIGHT), Sophie Skelton (Starz’s Outlander), Marcus Vanco (UNBROKEN) and Jeff Gum (THE FORGIVEN). The film was directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens (THE CORPSE OF ANNA FRITZ) and was written by Mark Tonderai (HUSH) and Lars Jacobson (BABY BLUES).

Saban Films will release the horde in theaters and on VOD and Digital HD on January 5th, 2018.

A reimagining of George A. Romero’s cult classic, DAY OF THE DEAD: BLOODLINE is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled world where a former med school student is tormented by a dark figure from her past. The only thing is, he’s a half-human, half-zombie hell-bent on destroying her world.
