Let’s talk about a filmmaker named Chris McInroy. Up until about 2 hours ago, I was completely unfamiliar with his work…and that’s a goddamn shame. Like many others, McInroy has turned to Kickstarter to get his latest project (Death Metal) off the ground.
We’ll stop right there, because I know what you’re thinking – Another one?!
It’s true that supporting indie filmmakers can be a bit of a gamble. After all, many of them are unproven, so there’s no telling what your investment will earn you. Well fear not, because this isn’t Chris McInroy’s first rodeo. Not only has he made prior films, but his most recent (Bad Guy#2) was a Kickstarter success itself. Oh, and it’s fucking incredible. If you have even the slightest feeling of apprehension after watching Bad Guy #2 – then I think it’s safe to say you’re dead inside.
In an attempt to raise awareness for Death Metal, McInroy has made Bad Guy #2 available to the public until June 3rd. He told me “Bad Guy #2 shows what we can do with practical effects. Now we have to increase it!”. Have a look below while you still can…and imagine these effects INCREASED :
