Many of us have had nights we’ve had to piece together the next day with photos, videos, and vague blurry memories…but what if those videos showed your spouse straight up murdering you? In the trailer for Death of Me we find Christine (Maggie Q) and Neil (Luke Hemsworth) in the middle of a romantic tropical getaway gone wrong. Did they drink too much or were they drugged? If it’s all a hallucination, why are there bruises? But if it’s real, how does Christine appear to still be alive? The trailer sets up a compelling story in a beautiful and gorgeously dark setting.
It seems like whenever a film is set in Thailand things are bound to go horribly wrong
It seems like whenever a film is set in Thailand things are bound to go horribly wrong (I wonder how their tourism board feels about that). In this case not only are Christine and Neil faced with some sort of intriguing and dangerous black magic, there are also only 24 hours until the next ferry and an impending typhoon to up the ante.
Death of Me will be available in theaters, On Demand, and digitally on October 2, 2020.
