I’ve said it several times now, but as a hardcore horror fan, I’m somewhat embarrassed by how much I enjoyed Scream: The TV Series‘ first season. It was appointment viewing for my wife and I–a rare slice of “horror” programming that we could enjoy together–and on MTV of all places?!? I know, it’s crazy to even consider. But if you’ve gone all this time without watching season 1 for whatever reason, I encourage you to check it out. Yes, it’s teen horror/drama–but isn’t that what SCREAM has always been to some extent? I digress…

After the bombshell of an ending that we were left with last year, we knew that some loose ends would get clipped in season 2. Now that we have our first look at the debut trailer for the series’ May 30th premiere–I’m glad to report that the folk over at MTV don’t appear to be beating around the bush. We get straight to it. Plot Synopsis
Season 2 of Scream picks up with Emma’s return to Lakewood after three months at a retreat, where she tried to recover from the horrors of last season. Everyone is walking on eggshells around her, questioning whether she has truly gotten over the killings. Meanwhile, Audrey is hiding her connection to the Killer, but is getting harassed by someone who knows the truth. Brooke and Jake are also keeping secrets – they are hiding a budding romance from Mayor Maddox. Noah is getting closer and closer to the truth about the Season 1 murders. Lakewood’s dark past is once again brought to focus – with this Killer’s psychotic mind-game intent on bringing the town’s heroes down in a storm of betrayal and bloodshed.
