Korean director Na Hong-Jin, who’s resume includes, the globally acclaimed The Yellow Sea and The Chaser, just smashed the South Korean box office with his latest film, THE WAILING, which was Na Hong-Jin’s third premier at the festival de Cannes.

THE WAILING, is an extremely tense, supernatural thriller, about a foreigner’s mysterious appearance in a quiet, rural village. The locals suspicion quickly turns to hysteria, as the townspeople begin to brutally murder one another. Much like his prior films, the stills for THE WAILING, look absolutely gorgeous, showing the hard work behind Na Hong-Jin’s meticulously crafted film, that took over six years to make.

THE WAILING will be opening Nationwide, on June 3rd. We hope to have a full review in the very near future, but check out the official trailer, plot synopsis, and stills below while you wait.
