The number of quality indie offerings that are in production at any given moment never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think I’m all caught up and there’s a drought on the way, something like EATEN ALIVE! comes along and knocks my socks off.

Written and directed by newcomers Kris Carr and Sam Fowler, EATEN ALIVE! has one of the best opening trailer shots in recent memory. We’ve gone over the importance of strong audio and musical composition over and over, and this is a perfect example of how it’s done and why it’s important. Perhaps even more important; though, is the fact that the movie itself looks like an absolute blast. A throwback to classic ‘Monster in the Woods’ movies? Sign me up!

Plot Synopsis
A suicidal girl is broken out of psychiatric hospital to spend her birthday camping in the countryside. However, things take a sharp turn when they are kidnapped and abandoned deep in the woods…Will any of them survive? Or will they be… EATEN ALIVE!
