Once considered to be one of Stephen King’s unfilmable books due to how the entire novel spans one location, and just how much time it spends inside lead character Jessie’s head, that’s proven to be not true. It looks like the story was just waiting on the right person to come along- writer/director Mike Flanagan. The director is quickly becoming a modern master of horror, and the new trailer for the highly anticipated Gerald’s Game further seems to support that.

Constant Readers will notice a few minor plot changes in the trailer, below, and some major surprises hidden away until the film drops exclusively on Netflix late this month. The minimal cast, lead be Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood, looks stellar.

Gerald’s Game will premiere at Fantastic Fest this month before launching exclusively on Netflix on September 29, 2017.
