It wasn’t that long ago that we reported on the traveling Insidious Chapter 3 4D experience. When we first touched on that, it was mentioned that a version would be headed to Android users that had a Google Cardboard device or Samsung Gear VR. Well, it’s here…..and it’s pretty damn cool.

The entire experience lasts around 5 minutes or so – and while that is slightly disappointing – I’m not sure what I really expected for free. You sit across from now famed medium Elise as she explains various things to you. Creepy strollers roll by, shadowy figures bang on walls, and large cracks begin to consume the room all around you until you find yourself smack dab in the middle of The Further. You never really think about how absolutely terrifying it would be to be in that situation until you’re in it – and the Insidious Chapter 3 VR Experience does just that. It’s extremely cool and is sure to cause some jumps. It definitely got me once….or twice.

It’s extremely doubtful that many of you have Google Cardboard devices, but I suggest you pick one up. They range from 15 to 45 bucks and will undoubtedly be used in various horror projects as the VR landscape continues to expand. It’s the perfect medium for horror.
