Any loving husband and father would do whatever he could to protect his wife and children. But what if said adversary wasn’t even Human. In DEVIL’S GATE, the new shocker from IFC Midnight, it seems the same rules apply.

Starring Milo Ventimiglia from NBC’s mega-hit This is Us, as well as Shawn Ashmore (X2: X-MEN UNITED) and Amanda Schull (12 Monkeys, Suits), this new sci-fi actioner looks like INDEPENDENCE DAY meets SIGNS. If that wasn’t enough to up the alien intrigue, it even adds every Trekkie’s favorite Commander, Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek: Next Generation.

IFC Midnight has churned out some gems recently, so let’s hope DEVIL’S GATE comes in for a nice landing. It hovers into select theaters, VOD and via digital platforms in the United States on January 5th, 2018.

Synopsis
What unholy force lies locked away in a crumbling, booby-trapped, middle-of-nowhere farmhouse? When a woman and her son mysteriously vanish, FBI agent Daria Francis (Amanda Schull) is dispatched to the small town of Devil’s Gate, North Dakota to investigate the number one suspect: religious fanatic Jackson Pritchard (Milo Ventimiglia), husband and father of the missing persons. But when Francis and local deputy Colt (Shawn Ashmore) arrive at Pritchard’s foreboding property, they discover much more than they bargained for lurking in the basement. Unfolding over the course of 24 delirious hours, this head-spinning sci-fi creature feature hits viewers with a bonkers blitzkrieg of genre-bending twists and turns.
