You should know who Rosamund Pike is. If you don’t, then you obviously missed one of the greatest films 2014 had to offer; Gone Girl. Pike is back in the driver’s seat in another psychological thriller titled Return to Sender. No official release date has been given, but we expect it to release before the year ends.

LOS ANGELES, May 7, 2015 – Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has acquired all U.S. rights to the thriller, RETURN TO SENDER. The film features an all-star ensemble cast including Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), Academy Award nominee Nick Nolte (Warrior, The Prince of Tides), Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead), Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”) and Rumer Willis (Sorority Row, “Dancing with the Stars”). RETURN TO SENDER was directed by Fouad Mikati and co-written by Patricia Beauchamp and Joe Gossett. Mark Ward, RLJ Entertainment’s Chief Acquisitions Officer for the Image brands, made the announcement today.

“Fresh on the heels of her Academy Award nominated performance in Gone Girl, Rosamund Pike delivers another stellar turn in RETURN TO SENDER,” said Ward. “We are extremely proud to add this to our 2015 slate.”

In this intense psychological thriller, Rosamund Pike stars as Miranda, a small town nurse who gets attacked during a home invasion by a mysterious stranger (Shiloh Fernandez). Following his arrest, Miranda starts to regularly visit him in jail and build a relationship with her attacker. But everything may not be as it appears..

Produced by Holly Wiersma (Dallas Buyers Club) and Candice Abela and executive produced by Joe Gossett, J.C. Khoury and Logan Levy, the deal was negotiated by Voltage Pictures on behalf of the filmmakers and Mark Ward on behalf of RLJE/Image Entertainment.
