This is it, the moment I’ve been waiting for since first catching a sneak peek of this trailer at SXSW just a few weeks ago. The trailer has finally been unleashed for the masses, and I can’t wait to hear your reactions. So feast your eyes and let me know what you think below. I’ll wait right here.

Creepy, right?? It looks like this will be a lot scarier than the original, and I’m pumped. Of course, there are some obvious departures from the book, like shifting the setting to the ’80s instead of the ’50s, but I’m ok with this.  Especially because the trailer teases at the inclusion of one of the most terrifying subplots in the book; sociopath teen bully Patrick Hockstetter. Fans of the book will share my excitement in this, as this is firm confirmation that this film’s R-rating will be no joke.

The adaptation stars Bill Skarsgård, Finn Wolfhard, Javier Botet, Jaeden Lieberher, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor, and is directed by Andy Muschietti.

IT will terrorize audiences in theaters on September 8, 2017.

In a small town of Derry, Maine, seven children come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.
